Head of Product Development

Oportunity to join a start-up Medical Devices company who are developing an opthalmic device that could reduce the recovery time from certain medical events from months to minutes. Working alongside world renowned surgeons and leaders in their space, you'll be the Head of Product Development/Systems Engineering tasked with taking this product to patients.

Main Responsibilities;

• Leading and managing the engineering team through developing and commercializing a novel medical device from concept to market launch.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and manufacturing to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Developing and implementing robust systems engineering methodologies to drive efficiency, quality, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements;

• 6+ years' R&D and/or Systems Engineering experience in the Medical Devices space, with a prior track record of bringing a device through development to market.
• Management experience, there is a currently a small team of 3 "green" engineers.
• Opthalmic device experience preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to live and work full-time in the Toronto area.
