Position Summary - Project Automation Engineer 

On behalf of my client, a leading automation solutions company for the renewables sector, we are looking for an experienced Project Automation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation systems that optimize energy solutions for our clients. Your work will directly contribute to advancing renewable energy systems and making sustainable energy more accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Design & Development: Create, configure, and program automation systems that support renewable energy installations, including solar, wind, and battery storage systems.
  • Project Management: Lead automation projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and in alignment with client specifications.
  • System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with energy management systems and IoT platforms.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems in the field to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Data Analysis & Optimization: Utilize data analytics tools to monitor and improve system efficiency, reliability, and response times.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all automation solutions adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company safety guidelines.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system layouts, wiring diagrams, and program logic.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in automation engineering, ideally within renewable energy, industrial automation, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider) and SCADA systems.
    • Experience with IoT platforms, remote monitoring, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP).
    • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage) is a strong advantage.
